Where growth

takes root

I am here to meet you exactly as you are.

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you're navigating adolescence, parenting struggles, or your own inner turmoil. Maybe you're stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or carrying burdens that feel too heavy to name.

You don't have to figure it out alone.

My practice offers a compassionate, grounded approach rooted in curiosity, respect, and deep listening. Together, we'll explore what's really going on beneath the surface—not to fix you, but to help you come home to yourself.

Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness, we'll welcome all parts of you and help you move in a direction that feels right for your life.

How I Can Support You

Healing happens when we feel truly seen and supported. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or seeking deeper self-understanding, I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome.

Teens & Young Adults

A Steady Place to Land

Being a teen or young adult in today's world can feel overwhelming. Academic pressure, social media, identity questions, family conflict—it all adds up.

I create a judgment-free space where honesty, trust, and humor help lighten the load you carry. Together, we'll explore your challenges, build self-understanding, and cultivate the resilience you need to thrive as your truest self.

You're not broken. You're navigating something hard, and you deserve support.

Parents & Caregivers

Here You Are Held, Not Judged

Parenting through a child's struggles brings a unique kind of stress—fear, self-doubt, exhaustion, and the constant worry that you're doing it wrong.

You're not doing it wrong. You're doing something incredibly hard.

Our work together slows everything down so you can process your own experience without judgment. We'll cultivate wise, grounded leadership so you can show up as the steady support your child needs—without abandoning yourself in the process.

Adults & Individuals

Coming Home to Yourself

Making the decision to work on what isn't working can feel really big—and really hard. Maybe you've been carrying old pain, navigating a life transition, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

Therapy is a chance to pause, listen inward, and explore the parts of you that need care.

With presence, tenderness, and curiosity, I'll help you get to know yourself in ways that feel manageable and safe. Together, we'll walk your own path of healing—at your own pace, in your own way.

The IFS Difference

Internal Family Systems recognizes what you've always known …

you contain multitudes.

The part that wants to try and the part that's afraid. The part that pushes forward and the part that needs rest. Instead of seeing these as conflicts to resolve, IFS sees them as parts to understand. When we listen to each part with curiosity and compassion, we discover the calm, clear Self that's been there all along.

Take a moment to check in with yourself

The Anxious Part
Always scanning, staying alert
The Guarded Part
Keeping distance, staying guarded
The Inner Critic
Pushing hard, never satisfied
The Exhausted Part
Running on empty, so tired
The Hopeful Part
Believing change is possible
The Overwhelmed Part
Too much, all at once
What Is IFS?

Nice to meet you.

I am Taura.

I'm so glad you're here.

Let's slow down, drop in, and listen for what's really going on.

Maybe you found me because something isn't working anymore. Maybe you're exhausted from trying to hold it all together. Maybe you just know, somewhere deep down, that there has to be another way.

You're right. There is.

My practice is built on a simple truth: you are not the problem.

You're a whole person navigating a complicated world, carrying protective patterns that once helped you survive but may no longer serve you.

I work with teens who feel overwhelmed by a world that asks too much too soon. Parents who are doing their absolute best while questioning if it's enough. Adults who are ready to stop performing and start healing.

Here's what I know: healing doesn't happen through willpower or self-criticism. It happens when we finally stop fighting ourselves and start listening.

Using Internal Family Systems and mindfulness, we'll help the protective parts of you relax. We'll welcome the feelings you've been pushing away. We'll find the wise, calm Self that's been there all along, waiting for you to come home.

Healing doesn't happen in isolation.

Your struggles didn't start in a vacuum—they're shaped by identity, culture, family history, and systems that were never designed with your wholeness in mind. So we won't treat them in isolation either.

Together, we'll honor both your lived experience and the larger context. Healing becomes not just relief, but reclamation—of your dignity, your belonging, your right to take up space exactly as you are.

You don't need fixing. You need witnessing, understanding, and the kind of steady presence that says: I see you. All of you. And you're welcome here.

Learn More About How I Can Help You
  • A: I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a “super bill” invoice that you may submit to your insurance company for consideration. Most clients find they are reimbursed for their sessions with me as an out-of-network mental health care provider. I am happy to provide you with additional information so you can contact your insurance company to verify your coverage.

  • Yes! I offer both in-person sessions in Santa Rosa and secure video sessions for California residents. Many clients find virtual therapy just as effective and more convenient. We can discuss what feels right for you.

  • There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people find what they need in a few months; others work with me for a year or more. We'll check in regularly about your progress and what feels right for you. You're always in the driver's seat. A: We begin with weekly sessions to build trust and momentum. Over time, sessions may move to every other week or less frequently depending on your progress and goals.

  • It's a 15-minute phone or video call where we can meet, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure—it's just a chance to get a sense of each other. You can schedule one anytime.

  • First sessions can feel a little awkward—that's completely normal. We'll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what's been hard, and exploring what you're hoping for. I'll ask questions, you'll share what feels comfortable, and we'll start building trust. There's no "right" way to do therapy. Just show up as you are.

  • Internal Family Systems recognizes that we all have different "parts"—the anxious part, the protective part, the critical part. Instead of trying to eliminate these parts, IFS helps us understand them. When our parts feel heard, they can relax, and we access our wise, calm Self. It's compassionate, non-pathologizing, and deeply effective.

  • Individual sessions are typically 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to settle in, do meaningful work, and close with grounding.  Some people find that 75 or 90 minute sessions work better for them.  Family Sessions are 90 minutes.

  • My fee is $180 for 60 minutes, $225 for 75 minutes, and $270 for 90 minutes.  I accept online payment (credit card and FSA/HSA) and provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if requested.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a fee.
